Robert Burtons it a carbon neutral printing and packaging company with an eco-friendly outlook on printing. Robert Burtons has for many years recognised and worked to reduce the impact that our business has on the environment.

• 100 % of our paper waste is collected & recycled as post consumer waste.
• 100 % of our metal printing plates are recycled.
• We use vegetable oil based inks & varnishes.
• We use & encourage use of recycled papers & boards or sourced FSC certified & sustainable forest.

Over recent years it has become increasingly evident that climate change will be one of the most pressing issues for the future existence of our planet.

At Robert Burtons Printing and Packaging we have made a commitment to the future by implementing eco-friendly initiatives to reduce our carbon emissions and strive to become a carbon neutral company.

This commitment involved an audit of our total greenhouse gas emissions, or carbon footprint. These include emissions created in the generation of the electricity we use, the direct and indirect fuel emissions, methane emissions from our landfill waste and other emissions generated from our manufacturing and transport processes.

What are we going to do?

We have committed to offset 100% of our carbon emissions. Robert Burtons next step is the process of offsetting, or counter-balancing our carbon footprint. This takes the form of purchasing carbon credits from recognised green initiatives such as energy efficiency and renewable energy resources.

These carbon credits are Government Accredited under the NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme, and the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator.
